Our EUSR approved trainer will provide SHEA Gas, Water, Telecommunications and Core training to clients in a formal but relaxed training environment. We can also offer Abrasive Wheel, DSE training and assessment, Fire Marshall, First Aid and Moldex Face Fit training.

SHEA Gas Utilities Passport

Course objectives:

SHEA Water Utilities Passport

Course objectives:

  • Basic Water Network Operations course designed for Operatives, Supervisors and Managers covering practices specific to the water industry. (National Water Hygiene Card must be obtained independently to work on restricted operations ie where contact is to made with partially or fully treated drinking water)

SHEA Core Utilities Passport

Course overview:

  • Uniformed training scheme developed in conjunction with industry, designed for all Operatives, Supervisors and Management requiring temporary or permanent access to operational sites.
  • SHEA (Safety Health and Environmental Awareness) training in line with Health & Safety Executive guidelines.
  • SHEA Core scheme is affiliated with CSCS to allow utility industry workers to access construction sites without the need to complete a separate CSCS card.
  • Available transition period of 3 years to complete short course on other eligible SHEA schemes from date of initial training.

SHEA Core scheme comprises of:

Eight modules common to all utility industries and form the basis of health, safety and environmental law and practices. It is designed to provide on-site evidence that an individual has demonstrated an appropriate level of knowledge and awareness. It is a passport scheme and does not indicate any level of technical competence or skilled expertise.

SHEA Telecommunications Passport

Course overview:

  • Uniformed training scheme developed in conjunction with industry, designed for all Operatives, Supervisors and Management requiring temporary or permanent access to operational sites to assess and react to hazards encountered on a daily basis.
  • SHEA (Safety Health and Environmental Awareness) training in line with Health & Safety Executive guidelines.
  • SHEA Telecommunications scheme is affiliated with CSCS to allow industry workers to access construction sites without the need to complete a separate CSCS card.
  • Valid for a period of 3 years and individuals eligible may opt for a short course in this transition period to other SHEA schemes.

SHEA Core scheme comprises of:

  • Ten modules, eight modules common to all utility industries and form the basis of health, safety and environmental law and practices. It is designed to provide on-site evidence that an individual has demonstrated an appropriate level of knowledge and awareness. It is a passport scheme and does not indicate any level of technical competence or skilled expertise.

EUSR – Raising Industry Standards

On successful completion of training course the EUSR Register will be updated giving employers the confidence that staff have achieved a standard of skills relevant to their industry. Delegates will receive an Identification Card and Certificate which is valid for five years from date of training course.

Course FAQs

How much does the course cost?
£210 per person. Sandwiches and refreshments will be provided, price also includes Registration fee and VAT.

Can I pay by cheque?
Yes. Cheques need to be payable to W M WALSH SURFACING LTD and posted to
PO Box 343, TADWORTH KT20 6NW
within 7 days of the course date.

Can I pay by Debit or Credit card?
No. Facilities should be available in the near future.

What time does the course start?
08:30 prompt. Please arrive 10 minutes before to complete registration documents. Please ensure that all mobile phones are switched off for the duration of the course.

How long does the course take?
Duration is normally 6 hours.

What do I need to bring on the training course?
Nothing – concentration and the will to learn!

Do I need to bring photographs?
No – We can take electronic photos on the day of the course OR Yes – We need 2 passport photos if you prefer.

Can individuals be trained independently?
Yes, a small cost may be incurred please phone or email for further details.

Who issues the Certificate and how long will it take?
On successful completion of the course a 30 day cover note will be issued by trainer. EUSR cards are normally dispatched within 14 days.

How many delegates per course?
Numbers will vary depending on demand with a maximum of 12 delegates per course.

Can courses be carried out at a preferred location?
Yes. Trainer will need to present Power Point, so laptop and projector would need to be facilitated. For the course to progress smoothly please provide seating, toilets, drinking water, adequate meeting and desk space for the trainer to work and be free from frequent interruption by others.

What happens if my course is cancelled by the training provider?
In the unlikely event of your course being cancelled we will notify you with as much notice as possible with the option of joining the next available course date or a full refund.

What happens if I cancel the course?
Courses cancelled with more than 48 hours’ notice will be refunded 50% of training cost. Courses within 48 hours’ notice will not be refunded but an alternative delegate may be nominated.
